About Robbie Heaven

Robert W. J. Heaven, Esq. (“Robbie”) practiced as a solicitor (transactional attorney) in Australia at a large international corporate law firm, where he worked in copyright and civil litigation as well as assisting foreign companies to fundraise and list on the Australian Stock Exchange. He then practiced as a barrister (trial attorney) at Mitchell Chambers, focusing on commercial disputes and criminal defense.

Throughout his legal career in Australia he worked as an associate lecturer in the law schools of the University of Adelaide and the University of South Australia, where he taught Evidence, Criminal Law and Procedure, and Foundations of Law.

He earned a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of South Australia, awarded Honors (First Class) by thesis. At the University of Adelaide he earned a Bachelor of Laws and a Master of Laws (U.S. Corporate Law). At the Gould School of Law at the University of Southern California he completed a Master of Laws and a Postgraduate Certificate in Media and Entertainment Law. He later worked at a large international talent agency in the Brand Partnerships space, and gained significant experience at a large civil firm and a boutique litigation firm in West Los Angeles focused on civil litigation. Robbie is a former Deputy Public Defender in Orange County.

Robbie serves on the Board of Governors of the Arab American Lawyers Association of Southern California, is Vice Chair of the Criminal Justice Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, and Vice Chair of the Criminal Law Section of the Orange County Bar Association.

He completed his Master of Taxation Law at the University of California, Irvine, focusing on trust and estate taxation and related areas.

In addition to his legal career, Robbie served on active duty in the United States Army. He was assigned to the 442nd Infantry Regiment, 100th Battalion in Honolulu, Hawaii, and is trained as an infantryman.
